The inside of the cup is yellow and there is a boarder of gold thistle and leaves at the lip of the cup. The actual lip is also gold. The center of the cup is white with a gold ring. saucer is similar to the cup: Gold gilding along the edge of the cup with a band of gold thistle blossoms and leaves. The center of the saucer is white with a gold ring between the white and yellow. The cake plate is yellow with the edge the same as the cup and saucer. It is all very lovely and the gold is shiny and new looking - there is only a two inch spot on the outside rim of the cake plate where the gold edge is a little spotty. This pattern was entered into the pattern book during 1900.
This cup is over 100 years old and the shape and quality is amazing No chips, cracks or crazing and the gold is in good shaped except for that small area mentioned. This is enameled bone china, made in England by Wileman and Shelley. Foley on the back refers on sale to the pottery region.
