Vintage iridescent lucite and blue rhinestone collar necklace. Acquired from a private estate collection, this mid-century choker necklace is circa 1950s to 1960s. It features teardrop shaped lucite stones with an aurora borealis “mermaid” coating that creates a gorgeous rainbow effect. Icy blue rhinestones line the neck and on sale accent the hook clasp. Silver tone metal. Adjustable length up to 15.5 inches. Very rare and highly collectible. Good pre-owned condition with surface wear to AB coating on lucite (hard to photograph due to iridescence; please zoom in) and some darkening of rhinestones near center due to age, but still looks gorgeous when worn.
