Made by Joan Rivers but not optioned by QVC (and therefore not marked and not marketed as Joan Rivers) this Bird of Paradise prototype brooch is certainly rare if not one-of-a-kind. It is large, as are most of Joan's Birds, measuring 3 7/8 inches in length and 2.25 inches in width and is encrusted with shimmering, glimmering, clear Swarovski stones throughout. It is in excellent condition with a roll clasp on the back and will come to you in a Joan Rivers dust bag. Unmarked as the logo medallion has been scratched out. Truly eye-catching during the day and a certain stunner at night in low lights. An uncommon treasure for the serious Joan Rivers collector.
