MEASURING RECOMMENDATIONS - Always use a metal tape measure!

For INSIDE mounts, measure the inside of your window frame exactly, then subtract 1/4" to 1/2" inch to find the closest width you need to order. The width of the shade need to be a little less than the window width, so it falls correctly.

For OUTSIDE mounts, I recommend that you measure your window width. If your window is framed in wooden molding, make sure to include it in your measurement as well. Add 1 to 2 inches to this measurement. If you will install the valance onto a decorative pole, this is the valance width that you will need to order. If your window doesn't have any wood trim around it I highly recommend adding some more width.

For OUTSIDE mount I would recommend decorative curtain rod with finials up to 1-1/4-inch in diameter.
For INSIDE mount - spring tension rod up to 1-inch in diameter.

The faux shades can be made in width increments of quarter-inch (1/4" or 0.25").
