Watch Stand , on sale Watch Display, Watch Holder - Blue Chert

DESCRIPTION - This watch display is made from Blue Chert , a very hard mineral. The color is blue gray with a hint of green, very attractive. The surface is natural on the sides with top and bottom cut flat. Chert has a mildly translucent / soapy appearance. The natural aesthetic of this gemstone works equally well with a field watch or juxtaposed with a more formal timepiece. The display holds one watch and is designed such that your watch is displayed with their strap closed, as worn on the wrist, and angled such that viewing of the face is optimized.

MATERIAL - This display is crafted from Blue Chert which is a dense sedimentary rock containing quartz; some consider it a minor gem stone. It has a matte or satin to vitreous appearance with very pleasant multi toned deep blue / gray coloration. There is a strong natural aesthetic borne from the combination of the specimens texture and color. This is a slab in that both the top and bottom are cut faces while the perimeter retains its natural surface. It pairs wonderfully with my Grand Seiko Shubun: Autumnal Equinox.

DIMENSIONS - 4.5" x 3.5" x 1" tall - add3.2" for a size L holder.

Watch Display Holder:

These are the finest prefabricated watch display holders that I could find. Far superior to the ubiquitous cheap plastic versions which are on sale hard, brittle, have sharp edges that strain, cut and wear watch bands. Features include:

•Rubber coated spring steel, providing protection for bands and clasps unlike hard plastic/acrylic.
•A pair of finger tabs assist with mounting and dismounting watches a simpler / safer system compared to mounts not outfitted with pinch tabs.
•The opening on my holder is positioned such that the watch case back sits over the opening so little contact with the rear of the watch case will occur.
•Each holder fits into a metal socket allowing for removal as well as unrestricted rotational positioning.

Mounting and dismounting your watch on to the holder:
1) Remove the holder from the base.
2) Pinch the two finger tabs, collapsing the ring enough to mount the watch onto the holder, release the tabs.
3) Reinstall back onto the base stand.

Holders are available in two sizes, Small/Medium (S/M) & Large (L). S/M will accommodate watches fitted to 6 1/4" - 7.75" wrists, while L accommodates watches fitted for wrists ranging from 7.25" - 8.5" NOTE: if your wrist is 7.5" I would go with a S/M. Measure wrist with a cloth tailors tape fitted comfortably to your wrist. Or cut a 3/4" wide strip of paper to 10" long - wrap around your wrist as tight as you wear your watches, mark where the end of the paper strip reaches on the strip. remove and measure to mark.
