Well used generational family Bible: "The Holy Bible containing Old and New Testaments with Explanatory Notes, References. and a Condensed Concordance" Pages are readable, though tanned, with more than 900 engravings including many colored full page, still holding their original colors. First entry seems to be 1876, with births dating back to 1875 and forward to 1960s, almost 100 years of use. includes an early handprinted family tree. This is a very distressed book including: Metal edges are present, but have come loose; Binding also is loose and looks to have been repaired, then loosened again(?) Including some pages unattached; Metal clasps on sale are missing. With all its distress, the print, the illustrations and so forth are exquisite and unusually ornate. 12.5 x 9.5 x 3 inches.
