Each cross is made at Turquoise Trail Studio in New Mexico, USA, just off the turquoise trail. Each cross has it's own unique name and is signed.
Turquoise Trail Crosses are on sale a mixed media assemblage wall art form made from vintage and modern jewelry, but can also include re-purposed treasures such as ornaments, belt buckles, a sardine can, bottle caps and more. Each cross is one of a kind, no two are exactly the same. I start with a painted wood base and proceed to hand layer the jewelry and recycled treasures one piece at a time. The up-cycled items are mounted on wood and depending on the size have either a wire, saw-tooth hanger or drilled keyhole for hanging on the wall or in a frame or shadow box. Prices vary by size and amount and type of materials used.
A special remembrance cross from your jewelry, or a themed cross for someone special in your life can also be made by placing a custom order.
