Product code: Vintage Mexican Hooded Stirrups Turn of the Century Hard on sale to Find

This pair of hooded Mexican stirrups was purchased at the Tuesday Flea Market in San Miguel de Allende, Mexico. The seller indicated that this type of protective stirrup is typical of those made and used during the early 1900s. It is difficult to find this kind of stirrup in relatively good condition.

Who owned and used these is difficult to say, but often ranchers in the mountains favored this type of stirrup to protect their feet. Look closely at the photos to see the use and abuse to which these were exposed.

The stirrups are not perfect and are sold “AS IS”.
