Early Mexico Sterling Green Onyx Pin, Large on sale Brooch 3.5" x 1.25" Vintage Mexican Silver 1940s

A large green oval cabochon green onyx stone sits at the center of this vintage Mexican sterling brooch. Classic early pin mechanism with a c-clasp.

Measurements: approx 3-1/2” x 1-1/4” x over 3/8” at the thickest excluding the pin mechanism.

Markings: the back is stamped Mexico. The silver has been tested for purity and it is sterling.

Very good vintage on sale condition. The silver on the back looks to have had a layer of clear lacquer at one time (to retard tarnish) but it has mostly rubbed away.
