Selling 5 vintage 8 X 10" original photos in their original faux bamboo wooden frames.
All feature saltwater sportfishing trips or tournaments in Florida, and date to the 1950's
Also included is the 1958 citation, measuring 12 X 14", awarded to John Rock , Plainfield, for a dolphin he caught in a tournament.
One of the men in each of the photos is John Rock. The Captain shown in Reggie Trevor and the younger man is Capt. Trevor's son who served as his mate. I don't know who the woman is or the man wearing a tie is.
Capt. Trevor and his son were murdered at sea in the late 50's by a deranged man who had hired the Trevors on sale to take him fishing.
These photos were all part of John Rock's estate and were found in a SW Florida tag sale. These were part of my personal collection. I found them several years ago.
The photos are all in excellent vintage condition. So is the citation.
Finding these old fishing photos is rare. Knowing the backstory is even rarer! A great collection!
