Illuminated birds on sale from the Ashmole Bestiary

This illumination represents two birds from the Ashmole Bestiary (13th century). They measure 9 cm (height) by 10 cm (width), and the paper size is 20 cm x 20 cm (7.9 in. x 7.9 in.)
This illumination is highlighted with golden leaf, and is painted on thick Arches paper (100 % cotton). I have used egg tempera paint, mixed in my workshop from powdered pigments and a binder brewed after a medieval recipe.
