The Distant Horn Collectable Damascus Railroad Spike Knife is a league above the other spike knifes I offer. This full tang, twisted handle beauty has a Damascus steel blade. The blade has a groove along the spine and a couple grooves at the base of the blade. The classic twisted handle ends in the characteristic knob at the end. The handle is darker than the blade, falling in ombre to a deep, metallic silver as opposed to the wavy light silver in the blade. What's special about Damascus is that, through the forging process, the blade takes on a wavy pattern as a result of the two types of steel, 15N20 and 1095 high carbon, coming together. No two Damascus blades are exactly alike either, as the forging process yields different patterns of waves every single time. When holding this railroad spike knife, it is as if you can hear old train horns in the distance.
