When polishing Pandora charms do so gently with a silver polishing cloth. Rubbing hard will in time rub off your hallmark. Best way to clean, if you leave near a Pandora store, drop it off to them for a complimentary cleaning.

Any Pandora charms manufactured before June 2011 are stamped 925 ALE and charms after June 2011 are stamped S925 ALE. These charms predate production of 2011, but continued production post 2011.

DESCRIPTION:
Pandora charms are little gems, designed with impeccable precision and executed with exquisite workmanship, handcrafted.
This is an all sterling silver with a 14K bead on top of the wings. There is some oxidization for contrasting and dimension. the detailing on this charm is fabulous. The short cadecues, (want or stick) is entwined with 2 snakes and atop it are a set of wings as if to connote an angel or guardian in your life. or stone, purely silver, clean and pure just like an angel is meant to be.
The stick in Greek Mythology was carried by the Olympian God Hermes or Mercury.
The snakes symbolize a life force or fertility. When snakes shed their skin, it gives meaning to re-birth, healing and immortality.
So, it is befitting that these are the symbols of medicine and they are beautifully captured in this stunning charm.

The charm was produced post June 2011, hence the hallmark S925 ALE.

This is a threaded charm ~ Threaded beads are becoming less common in the Pandora collection. More and more of the Pandora charms are now sliding floating charms whereby no twisting is required to get them onto a bracelet. I like this feature of Pandora and I feel it gives the charm substance. The floating non-threaded charms are definitely lighter and move more readily. This by no means insinuates the quality is of lesser value, it is a personal preference.

During a difficult time in my life, I had a guardian angel and a wonderful nurse in my care. This is a special charm I acquired during this time. It represents the power of medicine and the care of people. The power of love and nurture can heal. They were both present in my life and served to heal me and mend me on a path of fortitude. As collectors, we always buy more to have in our collection.
