Listed LEGRAS - Carafe Garnier 1886 - Verrerie Montjoie Saint Denis - enamel decoration- on sale Art Nouveau
François-Théodore Legras (1839-1916) decanter with enamel floral decoration. Beautiful liqueur carafe, designed in 1886-7 and used by the distiller Garnier.
Listed in the book "LEGRAS Verrier" on on sale page 178: "Ovoid decanter depicting an egg on an eggcup, with a clear glass background, enameled with periwinkles", on a white lace-like decor and with gilded rims.
The decanter model is also listed in the Catalogue of 1908, Ref. 109.
Very good condition, a manufacturing error on the collar and some micro scratches on the edge. Enamel and gilding intact, see photos.
Height 25.5 cm; width 10.5 cm, bottom 7 cm, rim 4 cm. Weight 425 g.
