Vintage on sale Wood Whisky Crate, 1950s Black and White Scotch Whisky Wooden Advertising Crate, Rustic Farmhouse Storage Decor

Wonderful vintage wood whisky crate. This was made for Black and White brand blended scotch whisky by James Buchanan & Co., Ltd., Glasgow, Scotland. Both sides have a large Black and White logo in black along with a wonderful checkered border around on sale it. One end has the import information stating this was imported by The Fleischmann Distilling Corporation, Lincoln Park, Michigan along with a date of 56' for 1956 and a Michigan state stamp. On the other end is the content and bottle count information and the tax information. This has a folding metal wire handle that someone added at some point which is a cool addition to this piece. Great vintage style lettering adds to it's overall charm and look! It is in overall great solid condition with just normal aging and patina with some stains and wear from use. There are some thin metal spikes along the inside bottom edges (not sharp, but they could snag items) they are mostly flush with the wood along the sides, but some stick out just a little (see last photo for a close up), so use caution or tape over these to prevent snags or scratches to items stored inside of it if you plan to use it for holding items. This would make a great decor and storage piece and has the perfect look for rustic, farmhouse, primitive, or many other decor themes. Perfect piece also for a collector of alcohol memorabilia and/or advertising. Great piece for bar decor also!
