Product code: On sale Vintage Sewing Machine Singer 101-2 working comes in a case with foot pedal and cord

Hello
This listing is for a Singer 101-2.
Made in Elizabeth, New Jersey in 1924 on April fools day with 4999 other brothers and sisters.
Almost an antique! (Serial number G0773457 you have to go towards the very end of the list)

This machine has a rheostat motor controller built in which is opperated by a knee lever. Unfortunately I could not find a case that would accommodate that.
So the next best thing I found was this European case (with what looks like a Pfaff foot pedal) and I wired the 101 into it (see pics).

It works great.

There is a lot of wear and tear, but it sews like a dream.
Everything has been cleaned, oiled and lubricated.
The light works.

Please look at the photo, zoom in to see all of the imperfections on the machine.
It is missing the upper port cap near the spool pin.
The case top is made of hard cardboard made to look like leather. It has strong vinyl piping that is sewed along the edges. It was badly crushed at one time, so I put another layer of cardboard with wood glue to re-enforce the top. It is pretty sturdy now.
I will include a Velcro strap for security.

It comes with-
All of the accessories pictured with samples of some sewing I did with the various presser feet.
I was particularly tickled by the way it easily sewed 8 feet of bias tape into a cord. (see pic)
4 vintage bobbins
An orginal manual for the Singer 101-2.
A part of the base I took off which is for a European plug
some parts I took off the 101 to re-route the pedal contol wires

A few things I would like to point out-
I had to modify the plugs to fit into the case. I left the casing on it so it could still be screwed back to its orignal form. The wires are on sale secured and all covered by cloth electical tape. You have to plug it in so the machine can sit in the base without sitting on the cord.
It might be challenging to some, and although unlikely, the wires may come loose in the process.
This machine is heavy. Almost 40 lbs.
I am including an extra hook assembly, even though it works perfectly, the one in the machine is not in the best shape.

I will print out a service/adjusters manual for you also.

Please be sure this machine is right for you. Read the description carefully. It would be more suitable for someone experienced with wiring sewing machines.
It is a rare and desireable machine and I priced it low because it has some peculiarities.
I tried to keep as much as I could in its original form in case someone would like to restore it to its original state.

There is a surprising amount of information/videos on line about this model machine.

I will be happy to answer questions and provide more photos and even a video, just be sure to tell me what you would like to see.

I will pack this machine carefully with insurance.
FedEx is cheaper, please let me know if you would rather ship with them.

Thank you
