An elegant depiction of Rebecca (Rebekah), one of the four Mothers of Israel, carrying the water jug as described in the Torah book of Genesis. Created by Naaman, Isreal, a leading porcelain manufacturer since 1945. Reminiscent of the stylized depictions of women by Jitka Forejtová for Royal Dux, created during the same time period.
This piece is in fairly good vintage condition. There is one tiny spec in the glaze on the front, as well as slight on sale dips along the bottom edge, done in production. Also a few light scratches on the back near the bottom, which are hard to photograph but visible upon close inspection.
