My first perfume in the Victorian Romance Collection was recreated from a Victorian era perfume formula of the 1800's called “Empress Eugenie's Nosegay.” What I offer in this limited edition first release is a very sweet, luscious ultra-femme perfume. No doubt Daphne Bridgerton would have worn natural perfume just like this to court; it is especially appropriate for the most intimate of affairs.
The original formula called for equal proportions of musk, sandalwood, vanilla, and tonka in the base; with rose, neroli, and rose geranium for top and heart notes. I used my best approximation of these proportions for the first version in 2015. This 2020 formula is more refined on sale with ingredients that smooth and lighten the original formula's rough edges. Exquisite ingredients of this artisan fragrance include hand-tinctured tonka and ambrette, aged for 5 years. Kingsmen is the masculine companion to L'Empress.
This perfume lasts and lasts. When I spilled my glass stoppered bottle in my perfume cabinet, I grabbed the first thing at hand, a silk scarf. Two years later the scarf is still incredibly fragrant.
This is a very limited edition 100% natural perfume - just a few bottles of this handcrafted artisan fragrance were made from the tonka and ambrette seed tinctures I created in 2015, which I aged until they were just right.

Floral notes: Damascenone (from anise eo), Neroli, Orris, Rose
Woods notes: Amyris, Ho wood, Sandalwood
Amber notes: Peru Balsam
Green notes: Rose geranium
Gourmand notes: Tonka, Vanilla
Musk: Phenylacetic acid (from cane sugar), plus a delicate melange of animal and vegetal musk ingredients
