This is a wonderful two quart salt glaze wax seal crock. Circa late 1800's. Made from gray clay; see bottom. Probably made in Southeastern Pennsylvania. A gray glaze on the outside and dark brown glaze inside. Inside you can see and feel the rings and on sale grooves that were left by the potter's fingers while he/she turned this crock on the potter's wheel. FREE SHIPPING.
Condition: Very good. A solid piece of early utilitarian stoneware. No chips or cracks. Firing imperfections as expected with a piece of stoneware that was made during the late 1800's
