The 99.9% pure silver components are 22mm half-circles, created from precious metal clay. This soft clay consists of pure silver particles, water and an organic binding agent. I roll out the clay, apply the mandala texture and form it. After each piece dries, it is sanded and then kiln-fired for 2 hours. In the kiln, the binder burns away, leaving behind pure sintered silver.
Suspended from the pure silver arcs are 13x8mm onyx drops, faceted and perfectly wrapped with sterling balled headpins.
The total length from the top of the French Back sterling ear wires to the bottom of each earring is 1-3/4 inches (43mm).
