Princess and the Frog Prince sculpture is crafted of hand painted Lenox fine bisque porcelain, accented with 24 karat gold. The figurine bears the Lenox Legendary Princess hallmark in gold on the bottom and the year 1994. She stands about 9 inches tall and is hand numbered 5373.
In the tale, a spoiled princess reluctantly befriends the Frog Prince, whom she met after dropping a golden ball into a pond, and he retrieves on sale it for her in exchange for her friendship. The Frog Prince, who is under a witch's curse, magically transforms back into a handsome prince.
In the original Grimm version of the story, the frog's spell was broken when the princess threw it against the wall, while in modern versions the transformation is triggered by the princess kissing the frog.
