Hand-woven Scandinavian Vintage Table Runner, beige linen with brown on sale and white squares and blue diamonds and crosses

This table runner would be a perfect choice if you are looking for a piece which you can display all year round. It fits nicely on top of a shelf, a wide chest of drawers or on any large table.

The subdued, soft colours used in this charming hand-woven linen table runner are both warm and still shiny. The beige is close to an Isabelline, the brown is a Beaver brown or Chamoisee, the white is a Floral white and the blue a Blue Beau or a Colombia blue.

The beige hand-woven linen weave is interspersed with subtle white vertical stripes. Over that, a supplementary warp weave has been used to create the vertical stripes creating the nice, repetitive pattern with five narrow lines of brown and white squares, and two wider ones with blue crosses and diamonds.

This table runner belonged to my mother.
