This camera used to cost more than USD2220 or 2000 euros in old money back then when it was released.
There's nothing quite like the old-world charm of a vintage rangefinder camera. It's a piece of history, but also an object that allows us to create our own history.
The Voigtländer Vito CLR is known for its interesting design, which took into account the latest technology when it was produced around 1963-64. It has a Pronto LK leaf shutter with a speed range of 1/15-1/500s+ B and an aperture range of 2.8-22 using 5 aperture blades. The shutter button is on top, right next to the accessory shoe on the left side of the lens, and there's a separate film speed selector dial on the right side. The viewfinder is optical with a range finder, and the focus can be adjusted from 1m to infinity by turning the ring around the lens (which is also how you adjust f-stops). The camera uses 35mm roll film.
Has a built-in timer for a selfie or a group portrait. Works well.
The wind mechanism needs help to bring it back (typical for this model). The film door closes with force. Either do it quickly with force.
The light meter seems damaged from the outside but does it job.
The exposure meter in this line of cameras seems to under-exposes by from two to 4 stops. Please make your tests.
I think there is no practical way to give a warranty on such an old camera. Try to think of this purchase as a short trip back in time, because these cameras will never be produced again.
