Vintage Wildflower Botanical Print Set of on sale Mary Vaux Walcott Watercolors from Smithsonian Collection

This is a set of 17 vintage botanical prints of North American wildflowers made from Mary Vaux Walcott watercolor paintings. The set was produced by the Smithsonian Institute from the original paintings of Walcott (1860-1940), a botanist and watercolorist.

The 9x12 prints are in good condition and are suitable for framing. They have a lovely patina, soft coloring and include the botanical and common names of the wildflowers. The Carolina Jessamine print shows signs of previous display (see photograph). One of the prints is missing on sale from this set. The original set envelope is included.
