Vintage lingerie 1950s YOLANDE pale pink nylon robe & gown set /w/ ivory lace on sale trim, satin ribbons, 34" bust, Excellent pre-owned condition!
We normally don't sell nylon lingerie but fell in love with this vintage set circa 1950s from iconic lingerie brand, YOLANDE. Crafted in the palest pink sheer nylon tricot, the shortie trapeze style gown is constructed with an opaque nylon modesty lining and no closures. 3" wide self straps are shirred into the straight-cut front neckline. Front neckline is beautifully finished with a band of ivory floral lace with a lovely scalloped edge. Three vertical triangular appliques of the same lace adorn the front neckline and are topped off with the sweetest pink satin bows. Armholes are finished with self bias. Body of garment is shirred into the back v-shaped yoke.
The robe's body and sleeves are both constructed of a double layer of the sheer nylon. Features include an open front, raglan cut bracelet length balloon sleeves shirred into 3" on sale deep cuffs and the most adorable Peter Pan collar. The lace ornamentation continues in the same triangular appliques that run the length of the front raglan seaming and down the center back neckline. Lace appliques also adorn the collar. Neck fastens with a crocheted loop and button. A pink satin ribbon completes the neckline detail. Both pieces are finished with the tiniest serged seams and machine rolled hems.

CONDITION: EXCELLENT pre-owned condition The robe is in pristine, unblemished condition. The satin ribbon at the neckline shows slight signs of wear but is still in excellent, sturdy condition. There are a couple minor imperfections on the top front layer of the gown...a cluster of the most miniscule "snags" and one pinhole. Because of the double layer, none of these are noticeable but have been reflected in the price. Please refer to photos for more detail. Gently hand laundered and pressed...ready to wear and enjoy.

FYI, we've had many customers contact us for additional measurements for our bias cut slips. Bias fabric is cut at a 45 degree angle against the straight of grain and is very stretchy. Unlike a regular stretch fabric, a bias cut has enough give to softly skim the individual wearer's figure without being tight or restrictive. That's the nature and beauty of bias cut garments. It's nearly impossible to provide an accurate waist and hip measurement and the bust measurement is the best way to choose a bias garment that will fit you like it's custom made! We're more than happy to provide additional measurements but don't let this discourage you from trying one of these fabulous vintage garments. We guarantee once you slip one on, you'll never go back!
