Mid Century Wood Carving of an elegant Women Statue. Some similar designs on sale are 6-15 inches tall. This is a rare woman statue carved in hard wood is 17 1/2” tall. This exquisite piece of art is in very good to excellent condition aside from one imperfection on the back top of head where maker missed staining. Only visible when standing behind her and looking down on back of head. (see picture) We researched the signed “A” on the bottom of statue but did not find history on the artist's mark. It could be one of the first sculptures of its kind but not sure. This beautiful lady has been safely displayed in a smoke free home. Thank you for your interest.
