I fell in love with the pretty patterned Red and Brown fabric and then found the Brown and Cream colored fabric and just knew they belonged together. The Brown Canvas for the bottom of the Bag was an easy choice, I love canvas - wipes off easily if necessary and wears very well. At first I struggled with the strap, I tried a few different combinations and while they looked good, I just wasn't satisfied. Walked back into the room where I keep all of my fabrics and staring at me was the Red Faux Leather and the light bulb went off. The finishing touch, the buttons for the center of the flower petals, all on sale from a local vintage market, each hand sewn into place to fit like an interesting puzzle.
