Our wood artist uses a variety of sustainable hardwoods native to Africa, Brazil and Central America to fashion these wood pieces.
Extremely durable, these woods used primarily for floors and decks. Most of our trivet designs are made by sawing the planks into thinner boards and then gluing them cross-grain to eliminate warping and increase strength. They are finished with natural tone Danish oil. Hot dishes and casseroles won't bother the durable finish. But if it ever needs to be refreshed wipe on another coat of Danish oil, available at any fine paint store.
