This is a very powerful painting.
As the universe stretches out her open hands letting us know we are never alone. Our connectedness to All loving things and our respect for all religions and beliefs. This piece is painted on Venetian plaster. The hands are painted in Henna. The plaster allowed me to sand and create the feeling of the detail of her hands. The symbols in the sky are as follows : “ The wisdom on sale eyes of the Buddha “ Through these eyes we are reminded to look at the world with compassion, balancing earths realities with higher consciousness. “ Yin and Yang “ Taoist symbol of the interplay of forces in the universe. “ Lotus” symbolizes harmony, spiritual illumination and unlimited potential. “ Luna Goddess” She represents the moon and the keeper of wisdom and magical powers. “ Gayatri Yantra” This symbol represents the illumined mind and far sighted wisdom. “Seed of Life “ The overlapping circles represent the Omni presence of creation honoring the infinite connection of all life's circles, nurturing diversity. “”OM” The primordial sound by which the earth was created. And finally the center “ Hamsa, Hand of Fatima” In using the Hamsa, an energy of peace prevails in All beings simply because the power of the hand radiates the cosmic connection between the hand of action and the heart of peace. The waves symbolize the fluidity of our emotions and the strength of our will. The comet, endless possibilities. You decide.
