1960's Vintage Signed J.L. Aldenkamp Leopard Brooch, Black and Clear Diamanté on sale Pavé Crystals, Netherlands

This is one of those "must-have" pieces as Aldenkamp's work is not only highly collectable, it's also become extremely difficult to find.

J.L. Aldenkamp was an exceptionally high quality designer from the Netherlands. He was known for using the best materials and well constructed jewelry. It is signed with his stamp on the back.

In the jewelry world, the phrase diamanté refers to glittering crystals that resemble diamonds. Pavé jewelry is characterized by setting a number of small crystals/stones together so closely that they give the impression of not being held together or set in any form of metal. The crystals are separated and held in place by little beads of the setting's metal.

Measurements for this stunning piece are 1 5/16" long x 1 1/4" wide. Along with the black and clear crystals as described above, it also has a green rhinestone for the eye. A very thin, delicate gold tone border highlights the podium design, its socks and teeth.

All the crystals are present and in very good clear condition (no yellowing or cloudiness), coming from a pre-owned and well loved home.
