Booths England Blue Line Kitchenware Set of 4 Scallop Shell Dishes c.1930s Raviers on sale - Vintage Cafe Food Dish, Sushi, Tea Party, Beach

Oh! So sweet and rare find! Set of 4 scallop shell ravier dishes by Booths, England in their Blue Line pattern made of semi vitreous porcelain with on sale a mottled tan brown back, white front with a blue line decorating the inside. These types of small dishes (raviers) tended to be used in cafés/ restaurants to bring small amounts of food or hor d'oeuvres. They were designed with the tab handle to be easily carried. It has a pretty embossed design on it too. Imagine using these at your next tea party or shower to serve pats of butter or candies or a small dessert for the finish. Of course these would be adorable to use as a soap dish in your powder room or for jewelry, mints or to set your teabag or spoon on after dinner.

All four are in great condition at 80 plus years old. There are no cracks. There are a few slightly rough spots that feel like an bit of extra clay, maybe a nick or two...nothing major. They are all crazed. There are a few stray dots here or there. The brown glaze has a darker mark on one as shown. All these characteristics are a part of the history of these lovely pieces.

Each one in the set measures approximately: 5-1/4" x 4-1/4" x 7/8".
