Royal Doulton Titanian Ware D4222 Large Tray, Bird of Paradise, Art Deco, Made In England on sale

This fabulous tray was made by Royal Doulton c. 1920-1930's. The handled tray has a center motif of a bird of paradise amid hanging vines with hearts, and a geometric border. The background is a soft blue-green color, speckled with black and fading to a cream color. The tray is large, 17 3/4 inches across including the handles, 7 3/4 inches high, and over 1 inches deep. There are some manufacturing flaws related to color, splotches and paint misses that are shown in the on sale photos, small surface scratches from use, and crazing, but these do not detract to any great extent from this stunning art deco piece that overall is in excellent vintage condition. The tray is very useful and looks great on a dresser.
