Handcrafted Artisan One-of-a-Kind Catholic Pocket Rosary Beads--Turquoise, Agate, St Francis, Solid on sale Bronze, sterling

This is a beautiful, weighty pocket rosary (also called a tenner) that's as suitable for a man as for a woman. Every one of the ten smooth barrel beads of natural green turquoise (each approximately 9mm x 6mm) are flanked on each end by a Thai sterling bead and a gold-dipped pyrite bead. The Pater is a large 12mm x 18mm oval of banded agate, capped by Thai sterling bead caps and Thai sterling beads.

But surely, the exquisite solid bronze St Francis medal is the star of this pocket rosary. Originally designed in the earlier part of the 20th century by French artist Denis Fernand Py, the unique art deco style of his work is so special and unique. He is absolutely my favorite artist when it comes to holy medals; he was a genuis.

I've wire wrapped this piece together with solid bronze wire, and finished it with a heavy solid bronze ring and small crucifix. Together, these beads will move smoothly through your fingers. They're easy to grasp and the natural mix of colors and patterns within each bead are mesmerizing.

To me, having a pocket rosary (also called a "tenner") handy for times I might feel stressed or have the need for a quick calming prayer is very comforting in this day and age.

I've been making rosaries and chaplets for over a decade and a half. Even so, all of them are one of a kind; you will never see me make the exact same rosary or chaplet twice.
