Vintage Chinese Carved Rosewood Koi Goldfish on on sale Wooden Base

This wonderful vintage carved wooden goldfish comes with the perfect stand to make an impressive display. The fish measures approximately 12" long x 5-1/2" wide. Gorgeous detail in the scales and fins. See close up photos to examine a few chips on fin tips.
Both the fish and stand are lovely for their satin finish that isn't highly lacquered or glossed, giving them a more hand-hewn sophistication.

The stand measures 7" square x 3-1/2" tall. Combined the two pieces weigh 1 pound 13 on sale ounces.

Maker and age are unknown, but this piece came from an estate where many of the Asian collectibles were brought to the U.S. from Hong Kong and China in the 1950s.
