I mark and fold these 20 cm books by hand to produce the beautiful word sculpture that you see in the pictures. I use books with vibrant leather covers and gilded page edging.
I can "ink" the edges of the finished word, making it highly visible even from across the room. If you prefer, you may also order the pages with a "natural" edge. This book is shown with both a natural edge and a gold-inked edge.
