Hand painted Southwest gourd "pottery" pot to replicate look of actual ancient pottery. This pot measures approx. 5" in height and 4" diameter. I have been inspired to craft gourds to replicate the look of the pottery produced by the Ancient Pueblo, Mimbres and related tribes. My gourdcraft includes a "potsherd" series of jewelry and decorative pieces, full pottery pots and gourd ornaments. Many of my pieces are true to original designs or variations on original designs; however, I use some motifs in a more contemporary manner but always executing my painting and crafting in respect for the early Indian art which I honor. on sale
