Vintage 24 PbO Lead Crystal Picture Frames Made in Germany, 4 x 6 Picture Frames (2 on sale available)

Here we have a set of two beautiful vintage crystal picture frames. The geometric keystones at the corners and vine-like motifs give them an elegant Art Deco flair.

These are heavy — made from crystal, also called lead glass due to the fact that they contain 24% lead oxide (PbO), which give them greater brilliance and durability. This pair was handmade in Western Germany and still bear the manufacturer sticker to prove it. The frames measure 7 3/4” x 9 3/4” at the widest/longest and accommodate a 4 1/2” x 6 3/8” picture. They stand upright with a black velvet back panel and easel. These are in great condition with no chips or visible cracks, although there are a couple small bubbles in the glass in places — shown in the last photo — air pockets that formed during the manufacturing process.

With their classic, luxury look, these frames would be right at home in a traditional or contemporary styled bedroom, living room, or office. Or give one as a wedding gift, or other milestone, as a memento to commemorate the big day.
