The Celtic name of oak is duir, meaning door. It was that native oak of California that inspired this completely natural perfume and opened the door (duir) way to my path as a botanical perfumer. “Q” Perfume: Devoted to the Coastal Live Oak and the first perfume in our Californica Series. ⚘ There are 5.8 grams of solid perfume, just over 0.2 ounces, in the round violet glass container which measures 1 and 3/8" x 1 and 1/8" deep.

⚘ The lid of the jar contains a honey bee wax seal to denote the fragrance contained within and arrives with a set of small informational cards

⚘ Ready as a gift to oneself or someone you cherish and appreciate.

⚘ The beeswax in the solid perfumes comes from the two colonies of feral honey bees I am a steward to, or other mindful, bee guardians.

⚘ The dark, almost black, violet on sale glass protects the solid perfume, store in a cool, dark space with the lid on tightly to prolong the vitality of the scent and complexity of notes in the fragrance.

PERFUME DETAILS:

The story of Q begins with an adventure in California native plants. A contractor attempted to build a three story mansion on the empty lot next to us that had seven native oaks. Besides organizing all the neighbors to attend neighborhood council meetings to protect the trees I engaged my art spirit. On the eve of Beltane I cut some leaves of one of the oaks and infused them for a perfume devoted to the tree. The intention was to save the trees and bring more awareness to these glorious majestic oaks which are native to California.

The trees have been saved and now I make illuminated perfumes with a mission to restore our oneness with the natural world and own essential nature.

The synergy of essences is completely botanical with main notes of resin, wood, smoke and citrus. Layer this solid over or under your Q liquid perfume to extend the lasting performance.

On my skin the perfume lingers for up to 12 hours, however I don't use any other scented products to compete with the aroma.
