6 x 7 1/2 x 7/8 thick. 208 pages. Sewn on linen "tapes" ( an exceptionally strong method superior to machine-sewn bindings). Spine mocha morocco (goatskin) with three raised bands. Pages of creamy white 60# Mohawk paper.

The Shop:
These diaries are made in Maryville, Tennessee by Bob Roberts, a bookbinder specializing in fine binding and restoration. Aside from a computer, electric lights, and a kickin' sound system, a 19th century binder could walk into the shop and feel right at home. The process of folding, sewing, making the covers, etc. are accomplished with eight on sale fingers, two thumbs, and very old tools.
