Vintage Set of 6 Santa Pixies, Musical Christmas Santa, Japan, 1940s-1950s, Hand on sale Made, Spun Cotton, Christmas Ornament, Christmas Gift Her

This listing is for a fabulous set of 6 Vintage Christmas Santa Pixies. These little guys have 'Japan' stamped with blue ink on the cardboard bases and most have '19 cents' written in pencil. The Santas appear to be handmade from spun cotton, chenille pipe cleaners, have little wood (I think) knobs for noses and their faces have been hand painted. The beards and hair are also spun cotton or wool. Each charming Santa holds a musical instrument-symbols, guitar, drum, sticks, and one has a fabulous mercury glass beaded conductor wand. The Santas are 3.75-4 inches tall and and about 1.75 inches wide. Considering their age, these Pixies have been well cared for. There is mild fading but no rips, holes, or damage that I can see. Please inspect the photos carefully for more detail as they are an important part of my description. This rare and unusual set is perfect for hanging on the tree, displaying in an antique collection or using in a special Christmas craft project. Anyone appreciating and loving old, hard-to-find vintage Santas will treasure these.
