Beautiful nude figure from the Achatit workshops Hans Schirmer from the 50s 60s.

The figure consists of a non-ceramic casting compound consisting of ground rock, wood flour and binder. These ingredients are stirred and boiled. The hot mass is then filled into plaster molds like porcelain mass (not hot). After cooling, the surface was treated with agate stones, polished and then on sale refined with various methods, such as painting, gilding, etc. The initial polishing with agate stones gave the product the name Achatit.

The refinement and the look of the figure gives the impression that it is made of noble wood. The offered figure has a tension tear at the base of the left arm to the body, see picture. In addition, the paint is rubbed off in a few places.
