Striking Antique Tea Set, Four Piece Tea Service, on sale Chinoiserie, Pagoda Pattern, Teapot and Stand, Sugar and Creamer, Afternoon Tea, Britannia

On offer is this striking tea service. There are four items - 1 x teapot, 1 x teapot stand, 1 x sugar bowl and 1 x creamer jug. All are in good condition overall, no chips cracks or restoration - notable light crazing over all and notable rubbing especially to the once gilded rims but as shown in the photos all adding to the aged charm and character of the set.

They share the same traditional striking form and have been beautifully decorated with an Oriental Chinoiserie design featuring pagoda buildings and stylized foliage. The detailing is of a good standard and I just love how the colors contrast with each other. Such an attractive set.

They are all marked/ stamped the same for the Britannia Pottery by S. Johnson of Burslem. The pattern number is also present 202332. Early 20th century.

To give an idea of size the teapot measures 24cm (9 and 1/2 inches) in length and 15.5cm (6 inches) in height to the top of the lid finial.

A lovely stylish tea set ready to be collected and enjoyed once again!
