Antique 19th Century Chinese Cast and Hand Forged Brass Hot Coal Silk on sale Iron

We've been doing some buying out of two estates in Upstate New York. Both homes of older members of the same family. The family owned and operated several small businesses, were collectors of all on sale kinds of things, they're downsizing, and we're doing some buying. We've been back twice now, lots to unpack, stay close.

This is a fantastic antique 19th Century Chinese cast and hand forged brass hot coal silk iron. Hot coals would be place in the brass cup that would heat the brass. The brass would heat and gently passed over the silk. This would have had a short handle that would be held to iron.
Overall fine condition, ready to hang, please see all pictures and paint loss.
