Antique c. 1850 Old Colony Iron Works Double Dragon Cast Iron Smoke Stand Ashtray with great old worn patina gold paint with a bit of old bronze color iron showing through. Three dragon feet at the base and stands 29" tall and about 8" across. In excellent condition for age and use, however it is missing the ash pot or cup with lid that sat on the pivot tab between the dragons' tails and the top tiny small lid that sat on top between the heads. Still an incredible piece and could be used as a candle holder as the top opening is perfect size for a 1" taper! No maker's mark, but all research shows it to be manufactured by Old Colony Iron Works.
