A SWISS Made vintage watch branded VIMY, posing a mystery to us, as the movement although marked SWISS is not identified with any maker or caliber number which is most unusual, so this leaves us guessing a little as to age, we are thinking late 1940's to early 1950's.
The chrome case is quite worn in keeping with a watch that was worn and enjoyed a lot during its life. The case measures 31mm in width excluding the original crown which we have regrooved.
The dial is wonderful, well at least to my eye, it is far from perfect and shows the age of the watch beautifully.
The hands are original and there is a sub second dial at the 6 marker.
The crystal is new having been replaced during our service.
The snap on case back is stainless steel.
The mystery SWISS made movement is as mentioned earlier unmarked with maker or caliber, very unusual, it has 7 jewels and is manually wound, we have completed a full service and the watch is in fine working order.
Presented on a new 16mm leather strap.
