Presenting another fabulous antique embroidered and beaded, Art Deco silk tulle panel. It dates to circa 1920's and is from France. Featuring tiny black (jet) and blue glass beads. The embroidery is done in rayon and silk on sale floss in red, blue, and peach, taupe and grey (ombre). There are metallic highlights embroidered throughout the design as well. This was a salesman's sample piece, just as rare as rare can be!!!! The design is quite beautiful and these geometric Native American inspired designs were quite popular during this era.
The quality and condition of this panel is excellent. I don't see any problems to speak of really except for one small "tear/hole" that I pointed out in the closeup...it doesn't interfere with the design and you won't see it once you sew the panel to your project; however, I would not dismiss a snag or two, or one or two tiny holes in the silk tulle that I might have missed. There was allot to inspect.
This panel is dying to be placed on the bodice of an exquisite period flapper dress. You're going to love this!
