Royal Doulton Bunnykins nursery dishes need no introduction, being so well know for ceramic quality and whimsical illustrations inspired by the watercolours of Mary Barbara Bailey (before 1950) and Waltar Hayward (1950's until the mid 1980's).
This is a nursery in a very good condition, most likely from end of 1950s (based on the backstamp).
Absolutely suitable as a gift for a baptism, baby shower, or as a show of the immense joy at arrival of a grandkid. This is the kind of gift that does not need a special time.
It is astonishing how for this dish, the little bunnies dressed in on sale human clothing, placed in the colorful rural or small-town English scenes, would change totally the feeding time. Anyone, who used Bunnykins tableware, could attest to the magic of these unique bowls and spoons at feeding time, when the little family at the bottom of the bowl becomes your friend and the targeted end of the eating quest.
Not in the least, this is an excellent addition to a Bunnykins collection.
