Sterling Silver Cherry Branch Earrings with Freshwater Pearls
These earrings were made by embossing a sheet of sterling silver with a laser cut paper pattern of cherry tree branches. I darkened the background to bring out the pattern, then textured sterling silver wire and bent the pieces into an arch. The arched pieces are also oxidized to bring out the texture. The wire attaches to the triangle below with sterling wire and on sale pale pink freshwater pearls.
These earrings hang 2 1/4" (5.7cm) from the top of the ear wire to the bottom of the triangle. The triangles measure 3/4" (1.9cm) across the top and 1" high (2.5cm).
