Vintage Pierre Cardin oversized sunglasses/eyeglasses/frames handmade in France. Excellent quality frames. These are sunglasses right now with prescription lenses, but you can easily have your optometrist pop out the glass and replace with your own prescription or sunglasses. Save a fortune on frames.

The frames measure approx. 5 inches across the top (the bridge measures 3/8"), but note that the top of the frame is about half an inch from where the front of the frames meet the hinge. They measure 2 1/4 inches from the top of the frame to the bottom. From the frame to the part that wraps over the ear is 5 inches. These are large, bold glasses, but they are elegant as you would expect from Pierre Cardin. Notice the interplay of colors: there is red (enamel-like) at the temples, and almost an opal enamel like stripe from the temple down to the bottom of the frame. At the sides, there is a wider red portion on which the on sale PC of Pierre Cardin in gold is affixed.

I found these in mom's stash. She never threw anything away, and today I found a treasure trove of old eyeglasses. These by far as the most beautiful.
