My daughter first asked me to make one of these. My first reaction was "what?! a Mermaid blanket?! You have got to be kidding!" She continued to ask, and eventually I gave in. Since then I've made several for friends and love the way they turn out.
The blanket/Afghan is made in a round at the bottom, but separates half way up to make a blanket. Tuck your feet into the space by the tail fin to keep them toasty.

These can be ordered small, medium or large (adult or child) and I'll ask for the height of the user to be sure we get a good length. Shell stitch gives the impression of scales.
After we finalize size and colors, turn around on sale time should be 3-4 weeks, and I will update you each week with a progress report!
